How does collaboration work?

Create a board to get a strong auto-generated password (e.g., 'blue-otter-42-moon'). Anyone with that password can join the same board from any device. Drawings sync in real-time. You can see other participants' cursors with their names.

Are my drawings stored on a server?

No. Drawings are relayed through Supabase Realtime but never written to any database. Your local copy lives in your browser's localStorage. Export to PNG if you want a permanent copy.

How is freedrawboard.app different from Miro or Excalidraw?

Miro requires accounts and is heavyweight for quick use. Excalidraw is excellent for solo drawing but its collaboration features require account or paid sharing. Freedrawboard is instant — no account, password-protected rooms. For deep team workspaces use Miro; for quick collaborative sketches use freedrawboard.
